Overview

The Dashboard is the page you land on after logging in. It gives you a quick health-check of the business — sales, orders, top items, anything that needs your attention — without having to dig into individual modules.

How to use it

Getting there

  • You're taken to the Dashboard automatically after login.
  • You can return at any time by clicking **Dashboard** at the top of the sidebar.

Choosing a time window

Most widgets respect the date-range control at the top of the page. Pick a preset (Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last 7 days, This Month, Last Month) or open the custom range picker.

Choosing a branch

If your account has more than one branch, the branch selector lets you scope the dashboard to a single branch or view all branches combined. The selection sticks across sessions until you change it.

What you see on the dashboard

The exact set of widgets evolves over time, but the dashboard generally includes:

  • **Sales summary** — total sales, order count, and average order value for the selected window, compared to the previous equivalent period.
  • **Sales over time** — chart of sales by hour / day / week depending on the range.
  • **Order channel mix** — share of orders coming from POS, online ordering, delivery aggregators, call center.
  • **Top items** — best-selling items by quantity and by revenue.
  • **Top categories** — your strongest categories for the period.
  • **Alerts / attention required** — flags like low stock, items that need re-publishing, devices that haven't synced recently, billing reminders.

When the dashboard looks empty

A freshly-created account shows zero data because no orders have been placed yet. Once your POS rings up sales or customers place online orders, the widgets fill in automatically — there's no manual reporting setup required.

If you're seeing the wrong numbers:

  • Check the **date range** at the top.
  • Check the **branch selector** — you may be looking at one branch instead of all.
  • Some widgets are **timezone-aware**; if your branch timezone isn't set correctly in [Settings](../Settings/Settings.md), the boundaries of "Today" and "Yesterday" may shift unexpectedly.

Beyond the dashboard

The Dashboard is a summary view. For deeper cuts you'll want:

  • **Analytics** — flexible reports with filters and breakdowns.
  • **Pulse / Brain** — AI-generated analysis and recommendations (where enabled).
  • **Transactions** — line-by-line history of orders, payments, items, and sessions.

Key Concepts

  • **KPI**: Key Performance Indicator — a single number that summarises something important about the business.
  • **Widget**: A tile on the dashboard. Each one is independent and can be scoped by date and branch.
  • **Comparison period**: Most widgets show "vs the previous N days" so you can see whether you're trending up or down.
